Thursday 18th. Illustrated talk by Jason Debney of the Thames Landscape Strategy on the links between the Arcadian Thames and the James River in Virginia. The Theatre, Richmond Adult Community College, Parkshort, Richmond TW9 2RE. Drinks from 7.15pm, talk at 7.45pm. Organised by the Richmond Society. £2 donation.


Wednesday 14th. Visit to Pope’s Grotto. Meet at the front door of Radnor House School, Pope’s Villa, Cross Deep, Twickenham TW1 4QG, at 11.45am. Visit facilitated by the Pope’s Grotto Preservation Trust. 


Tuesday 27th. Virtual trip to the Thames foreshore with zoologist Brenna Boyle of Wild Capital. Event organised by Chiswick Pier Trust – The Pier House, Corney Reach Way W4 2UG. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets £3.

Wednesday 17th. Explore the Thames Path in the Branch’s area with the RTS Chairman. Walk No 1 north bank. Meet at 11.00am at Putney Bridge Station. Lunch en route, duration to be agreed on the day.


Thursday 15th. Visit to the Beefeater Gin Distillery, Montford Place, Kennington SE11 5DE. Meet for
coffee in a nearby café at 11.00am for 11.15am. Group rate £10 (minimum ten people, maximum 15). Tour at 12noon, approximately one hour, followed by pub lunch at Duchy Arms, Sancroft Street SE11. (Anyone wishing to join 
us for lunch only is very welcome.) Nearest stations: Oval, Kennington and Vauxhall. Numbers limited so booking is essential. To book please email Cathy at before 1st February.
