Wednesday 12th Walk to Petersham:  We will cross the meadows to Petersham and look at the history and diverse architecture of the village before returning through the Common to The Terrace on Richmond Hill.  Departs Richmond Station upper concourse at 7.30 pm, finishing about 9 pm, to be followed by a visit to one of the area's historic pubs.  A donation of £2 is requested from all walkers towards the Richmond Society's Landscaping & Tree Planting Fund.
Sunday 23rd Walk at Lots Ait:  Following his talk in April,  John Watson invites members onto the island to see progress so far with the community boatyard project.  Meet outside the Waterman's Centre, 40 High Street, Brentford, TW8 0DS, at 3.00 pm.   Joint event with Twickenham Society and Brentford & Chiswick Local History Society.

 Wednesday 10th  Walk:  Art Deco by the River and in East Twickenham:  Local author Colin Hines will lead this walk looking at examples of Art Deco architecture.   Leaving Richmond Station upper concourse at 7.30 pm, returning about 9 pm, to be followed by a visit to a  historic local pub.  A donation of £2 is requested from each walker as a contribution to the Richmond Society's Landscaping & Tree Planting Fund.
 Friday 19th  Tour of York House Gardens:  Meet by the fountains in the Riverside Garden, 8.45 am.  Organised by the York House Society.
 Saturday 28th  Party on the Pier:  Chiswick Pier Trust's annual party celebrating the Thames with entertainments, music, refreshments and free boat trips.
   
 September  
 Saturday 7th  Great River Race:  The annual race ends at Ham House.  Come and visit us at the RTS stand near the finish line.  First arrivals approx. 2.30 pm.  There will be displays and activities on the riverside from Richmond to Ham from 1 pm, music from 2 pm. Refreshments.  If you can help man the stand for a while from 1 pm, please contact John Maguire (see above).  More event details at:  www.greatriverrace.co.uk

 Tuesday 20th  Visit to Leigh-on-Sea and Southend:  Meet 11.30 am outside Leigh Station.  We will walk to the Heritage Centre in the Old Town (approx 15 mins) for a talk by RTS member, Pat Gaskell.  After lunch an optional walk (approx 1  hour) by the seafront will take us to Southend Pier.  After refreshments at the end of the pier, we will return from Southend Station (approx 15 mins walk).
