Events

The Teddington to Old Windsor Branch has a continuous social programme. We meet on the first Sunday of each month in a different riverside pub for a Sunday lunch and get together.

About the middle of each month we have a social event which is mostly very successful. Each January we have an Annual Dinner, and each April 26 members enjoy a visit to the Mill at Sonning for a lunch and the theatre.

News

At the beginning of August our Treasurer, David Lambert, presented a cheque for £1,500 to the Captain of Weybridge Rowing Club.  The money was to fund the purchase of a single scull boat which was named Run A’Wey.  The 26ft, 4-year-old Stampfli single scull had been badly damaged in an accident and has been expertly restored by Chertsey-based Andre Munday.  In the short time the Club has had the scull its regular user, 16-year old Jack Shepard, has won a bronze medal in the Junior Under 16 Double Sculls at the National Championships with fellow club member James Coxhead.  It is hoped Run A’Wey will encourage more rowers to follow their example.  Several RTS members from the Teddington to Old Windsor attended a reception at the rowing club.
